The aim of the module is to introduce students to the theoretical frameworks and empirical data in the field of Public Policy. To begin, the key concepts and theoretical debates in public policy analysis are examined. We then move to analyse the different stages of the ‘Public Policy Cycle’ framework, the theoretical approaches related to each stage and the basic analytical tools that have been used for their study. The key values, directions and practices of public policy reform internationally, are also discussed. Finally, the exogenous factors to public policy reform are evaluated. |
